This water folds in waves and it spins into oblivion
Naked of a face and name
Like a camouflaged chameleon
I lost my treasure that once glowed
In gold tints of cerulean
And now I drown in folds of water
A wriggling family de ophedian
Then tangles of nostalgia suddenly whip through me
And visuals come to life of sitting atop the city
My hand bringing to my mouth a green appletini
While racing, drunken euphoria lits up my body
My coordination unraveled and
I arrived at the doorstep of the sea
Folding and unfolding into foamy
Cakes of white
Wishing that my eyes could open up to light
But I’m slipping and tripping, swimming
Into the night
Oh why do these worlds give me stage fright?
