pillows on a sofa, depicting a comfort zone

A beautiful rhythm
Stops me every time
Synchrony of the mundane
Of the comfort zone

Is what holds the peace
It keeps the chaotic possibility
Of undertaking
At bay
Knowing more about each other
Than themselves
Makes it easy

Why bother
To breathe in the daunting fear
In predictability lays stability
A comfort zone to stay in
And a home to die in

Why rock the still waters
For a faraway dream
Safety is safety, and
Maybe the known
Is love after all.
