Russian hosts racked up another victory in their match against the Egyptians, Tuesday night. Russia would get two lovely goals within 15 minutes, and they surely deserved this – despite an own goal by Fathi.

It seems like this World Cup will ache for the noise Egypt didn’t make as the country suffered another curse: The famous Mohamed Salah was playing his first game back from an intense shoulder rehabilitation, as the injury befell him in the Champions League Final and was clearly burdening him throughout the game. Although he scored, it was simply too late for the Egyptians.

Though Russia is not the most fearless in the cup (currently ranked 70th in FIFA), Zobnin truly played with ingenuity and was impressive in the midfield. The Russians have also managed to earn eight goals in just two matches.

Russia won’t be easy opponents to beat while Egypt and certainly face a possible elimination – but hopes are still high they can register their first ever win upon facing Saudi Arabia in their last match!
